New York | Hong Kong
I'm a photographer, director and strategist with more than a decade of experience working in social media and journalism.
In Feb 2020, I started a new role as Instagram Director at The New York Times, where I lead Instagram strategy for the newsroom and manage the team that runs the @nytimes Instagram account.
Before joining the Times, I spent 11 years at CNN, where I helped launch CNN iReport, CNN's participatory journalism project. I also led CNN.com's Asia/Pacific team based in Hong Kong. After CNN, I spent a year working as Communications Manager at Instagram, based in San Francisco.
My commercial photography works includes projects for Apple, Canon, General Electric, United Airlines, Ray Ban, TAG Heuer, ASICS, Tiny Atlas Quarterly, Ford Motor Co, Subaru, Cathay Pacific, Bloomingdales, Master & Dynamic, Travel Alberta, The Canadian Tourism Commission, and Hong Kong Tourism Board.
I co-founded HK Instayay, and organized the first ever InstaMeet in Hong Kong. I helped lead more than 20 Instagram photo walks during my time there and in 2012 gave a TedX talk about my experience.
